These reusable dehydrating sheets will last almost a lifetime. You need them if you're going to make cookies or crackers where the batter would seep through the screen of the dehydrating trays or if you're dehydrating smaller nuts or seeds. Many people also prefer to have something that is reusable so they don't create waste by tossing away parchment paper after each batch.

Low Temperature Dehydrator. Available in a six tray or nine tray model.
We recommend getting the 9 tray even if you don't think you'll fill it up. If you put only 3 or 4 trays into it with space in between each one, it really reduces dehydration time of whatever you're making. Also, raw dehydrated cookies and crackers usually last for a month or two longer if you keep them in the refrigerator. So you can make a large batch and have enough for several months.
Blenders get daily use in most raw food kitchens and that wears out a regular one very quickly. Many regular blenders also can't handle grinding nuts into powder, soups, dips, and other rough jobs raw fooders want to have them do. The Vita Mix is a super blender with an industrial-strength motor. They last for years and handle any job you'd like them to. When the company does demonstrations to sell them they show you a Vita Mix blend chunks of concrete into powder and blend strawberries in a smoothie so well that even the seeds disappear. The motor also has a built in feature that stops it before it burns out, if it starts to get too warm or too strained it will shut itself off. Putting it into the freezer for 15 minutes to get it cooled down resets it and it will turn on again. They have designed this machine so well that you can do almost anything to it and it just keeps on going.
