Why You Need It

This amazingly effective, fast-acting acid reflux remedy was discovered by the Amish while they were still in Europe and brought to this country sometime in the 1880's. We find it curious that it has never before been made generally available to heartburn and acid reflux sufferers until now, especially considering that this Amish remedy for acid reflux gives the fastest relief for heartburn of any natural product anywhere.

 What is Acid Reflux and what causes it?

Simplistically, acid reflux, food regurgitation and heartburn are caused by gas in both the
stomach and upper part of small intestines forcing partially digested food up the
esophagus and into the back of the throat.

This happens periodically because not enough HCL (hydrochloric acid - stomach acid) is
being produced to control the bacteria and digest the food in the stomach. When this
happens gas is formed and pushes the food upward through the esophagus toward the
back of the throat. As a result, there is an acid, burning taste in the esophagus and in the
throat that causes considerable discomfort.

This mainly happens in older people because as humans age they tend to produce less
stomach acid, causing more gas.

The solution can be many, but assuming you do not have a ruptured esophagus, deformed
valves from stomach to esophagus then you have what is called "common acid reflux"
meaning that your acid reflux is not caused by a ruptured esophagus or deformed valve but
rather is the result of gas pushing the partially digested food up through the esophagus which

What Causes Acid Reflux

Acid reflux and heartburn are most commonly caused by low levels of hydrochloric acids in the stomach and/or impaired functionality of the LES (lower esophageal sphincter) muscle. In many cases of common acid reflux, gases that are created as a result of low acid levels in the stomach force foods, liquids and even hydrochloric acids up from your stomach and into your esophagus. Normally, your lower esophageal sphincter or LES muscle closes tightly behind the things that you eat and prevents anything from making its way back up into your esophagus, but the LES muscle of people who suffer from acid reflux is often times unable to entirely prevent the contents of your stomach from refluxing.

There are various things that may contribute to or cause acid reflux. Some contributors, like diet and lifestyle, are completely within your control. Unfortunately, some of the most common causes of acid reflux, such as age, are unavoidable. Below are some of the most common causes for acid reflux and heartburn:

• Age
As you get older, the levels of HCL (Hydrochloric) acid in your stomach naturally begin to decrease. Your body needs a certain amount of this acid to properly digest the foods that you eat and control levels of bacteria in your stomach. Gases are created as food sits in your stomach, and these gases push the contents of your stomach up into your esophagus and throat.
This is essentially what acid reflux is, and this can lead to heartburn, gas and regurgitation, but the Stops Acid Reflux natural remedy is actually able to reverse this process by adding acidity to your stomach. Being overweight will put you at a greater risk for heartburn and acid reflux, so be sure to maintain a healthy weight. You should also avoid over-eating or eating too fast, and always keep your body upright for at least 3 hours after a meal. Laying on your left side or propping your upper body up while sleeping can also help with digestion by keeping your stomach below your esophagus.

• Smoking
There are a number of ways that smoking can contribute to acid reflux. Smoking can decrease your salivation levels and make it more difficult to properly digest, as well is increase the levels of acid secretion in your body. Smoking can also impair your muscle reflexes and reduce the functionality of your LES muscle. In addition to all of this, smoking will also cause damage to your mucus membranes and intensify heartburn.

Foods to Avoid

Orange juice, lemons or lemonade, grapefruit, cranberries and tomatoes can all worsen acid reflux symptoms, primarily because of their acidity. Although the Stops Acid Reflux remedy is also acidic, its pH balance and properties are such that it works with the hydrochloric acid in your stomach to stop your acid reflux in about 1 minute.

Ground beef, fried chicken, hot wings, and most greasy or fatty meats are very difficult for your body to digest and should be avoided, along with French fries, potato chips and otherwise greasy snacks. Timing of Meals

Suggested Use

"Stops Acid Reflux" can be used in two different ways. At the onset of acid reflux, you can take the mixture in this manner: 1. Storage:Product does not have to be refrigerated and but if not refrigerated, it should be stored at room temperature (not where there may be high temperatures)We recommend keeping the formula on a nightstand next to the bed along with a glass of water and be prepared for any sudden attack of acid reflux. Keeping the product out of the refrigerator overnight does not harm it. Return the product to refrigerator next morning if you prefer it chilled.


Question: How would I know if the kind of acid reflux I get is caused by a ruptured or deformed esophagus?

If you have acid reflux with regularity, with considerable pain then you should see your doctor and get a determination. Most deformities are early in life and you would have been suffering for many years prior to adulthood. Acid in the esophagus over a period of time can eat through the tissue lining and become a serious medical problem and if you suspect this then see a medical doctor for a means of treatment.

Question: Since the Apple Cider Vinegar, ginger and garlic juice is acidy and the taste I get with the reflux is acid then isn't that too much acid, adding acid to acid?

No. The acid taste and acid feeling (burning) in your esophagus is caused buy partially digested food backing out of your stomach through the esophagus tube - caused by stomach gas pushing this food with some digestive acids in it, but not enough for complete digestion. If the stomach has produced enough acid to digest the food completely, as it should have, you would not have the partially digested food coming up the esophagus. So, we need to add some more acid to the stomach to help out and solve the digestion problem immediately and that's what swallowing our reflux remedy does - and fast.

Question: What percentage of people get acid reflux?

Estimates are that up to 40% of the adult population suffer from acid reflux either intermittently or regularly.

Question: You state that in actuality most people with acid reflux need more stomach acid and not less. Why is that?

In actual stomach acid testing on individuals (something that almost all MDs do not do) the following happened: 85% of those tested for stomach acid needed more stomach acid - not less. But, the doctors prescribed medication for the opposite condition. Amazing, but true. Ask yourself when you got your prescription did the doctor do a stomach acid test first? Most of the time, as you get older, your body produces less acid for digestion than it did when you were younger. Question: How long has this remedy been used?

Many Amish and Mennonite families have used this successfully and regularly for well over 100 years. We're just making it available for the first time on the internet to the general public who may have the problem.

Question: Does the garlic have a bad smell or does it leave a "garlic breath"?

No, the garlic used is odorless and tasteless in the mixture.

Question: You mention that it also is beneficial in stopping embarrassing gas is that also true?

Yes. Virtually all gassing, either burping or expelling it otherwise, is caused by bacteria in stomach and smaller intestines. This can be stopped by digesting the sugars with acid - again adding more acid to the stomach and smaller intestines by taking our apple cider vinegar, ginger and garlic formula. Many who have had no luck at all with gas pills have had splendid success with this Amish remedy.

Question: Can I take your reflux remedy before I experience acid reflux as a way to prevent acid reflux?

Maybe. A huge percentage of our reflux customers have prevented acid reflux by taking one (sometimes two) tablespoonsful in a half a glass of water with meals. To test if this is effective for you, (without taking an antacid) just take 2 tablespoonsful in a half a glass (4 ounces) of water with your evening meal. You might also wish to also try it with your lunch.

Question: Can I sell this for you?

Question: What is the shelf life of the Stops Leg Cramps remedy?

If refrigerated, it is good for 4 years. If it is kept in a cupboard or drawer, the average is 36-42 months. We recommend storing in a cool, dry place.

Question: Is it necessary to keep the product in the refrigerator?

Not at all. You actually never have to keep it in the refrigerator. We recommend that it be in the refrigerator because it seems to taste better when cold. No other reason. Some people keep it in a drawer in the nightstand all the time.

Question: What about giving the remedy to children?

We do not recommend giving it to children under 12 and even then we recommend asking your physician about dosage.

Question: How long will a bottle normally last a person?

Because you only use our remedy when you experience acid reflux, one bottle can last the average person two to three months.

Question: Is the certified organic apple cider vinegar in the remedy filtered or unfiltered and does it have "mother"?

It's unfiltered and does indeed have "mother".

Question: People differ in size. When you state that one or two tablespoonsful are enough, is that always true?

No. On rare occasion, when a person starts taking the remedy they have to "double dose" themselves and take 4 tablespoonsful. Usually after the first time, they can revert to just 1 or 2 tablespoonsful.
